About Garioch Secure Support
Garioch Secure Support is a small community support project for people living in the Garioch area and nearby parts of Aberdeenshire. We help people when money is tight or when they are struggling to manage day to day essentials.
We provide practical help where we can, alongside clear information and guidance about other support that may be available. Our focus is on helping people through difficult periods rather than providing long term casework.
What we can help with
- Issuing foodbank referrals or vouchers where appropriate
- Providing emergency energy top up vouchers
- Helping to secure essential household items such as white goods
- Guidance on food support, energy costs, and household essentials
- Information and signposting to benefits, debt advice, and other trusted services
What we do not do
We do not offer ongoing benefit or debt casework. We are not able to manage claims, appeals, or long term support on your behalf.
We can, however, provide one off advice, explain options, and signpost you to the right services for specialist support.
How support is offered
Most support is requested through the forms on this website. We usually ask for a short explanation of what is going on so we can understand what help may be appropriate.
If using online forms is difficult, you can also contact our volunteer Admin Coordinator by text message or WhatsApp message on 07741 440405 (we do not currently take incoming calls).
Support is offered based on the information provided and on what resources are available at the time. We cannot guarantee outcomes, but we aim to be clear and honest about what we can and cannot do.
Who runs this service
Garioch Secure Support is run by three volunteer board members and a small group of volunteers. The project is operated by Fortis Advisory CIC.
We aim to treat everyone with respect and keep information private. We only collect what is needed to provide support or guidance.
